Available in a variety of colours and finishes, including cream, white, and woodgrain effects, they can be customised to perfectly match your home’s aesthetic. The addition of decorative horns and sculpted Georgian bars further enhances their classic appeal, making them a stylish and versatile choice for any property.
Excellent Thermal Insulation
Say no to unwanted winter breezes and stuffy summer heat. Our box sash windows are designed with energy efficiency in mind, ensuring your home stays warm in the winter and cool in the summer. Constructed from high-quality PVC-U, these windows incorporate multi-chambered profiles that provide excellent thermal insulation. Triple brush seals around the openings deliver exceptional draught-proofing, helping to reduce heat loss and lower your energy bills. Additionally, PVC-U Thermal Inserts made from 100% recycled material can be used to achieve an A-rating for energy efficiency, making these windows a smart choice for both your wallet and the environment.
Easy Maintenance
Maintaining the beauty and functionality of your box sash windows is effortless. Both the upper and lower sashes tilt inwards, allowing for easy cleaning of the exterior glass from inside your home. This feature is especially beneficial for windows located on upper floors, as it eliminates the need for ladders. The durable PVC-U frames require minimal upkeep – an occasional wipe with a damp cloth is all that’s needed to keep them looking as good as new. Unlike traditional timber windows, there’s no need for painting or preservative treatments, ensuring your windows remain attractive and hassle-free for years to come.
Our box sash windows are unique in the fact that both window sashes will also tilt inwards as well as slide vertically.
This allows them to be cleaned from inside your home and provides a greater flow of air on warm days.
Integral restrictors are installed within the frame which when operated allow the bottom sash to be opened to a maximum of 100mm for ventilation. Perfect for little people who like to investigate or any feline members of the family looking to explore outside.
Choosing our box sash windows means prioritising sustainability without sacrificing style or performance. Our windows are crafted from PVC-U, a material renowned for its durability and low-maintenance properties. This material is 95% recyclable, ensuring that end-of-life windows can be reused, significantly reducing environmental impact.

Spring sash windows use a modern spring-loaded mechanism for smooth opening and closing, offering a contemporary alternative to traditional designs. On the contrary, box sash windows operate via a system of pulleys and counterweights housed within a box frame, preserving a classic look ideal for heritage properties.
A box sash window operates using a weight-and-pulley system hidden inside a timber or UPVC frame. As you lift the sash, hidden weights connected by cords balance the movement, allowing smooth and controlled opening while maintaining the window's original style and proportions.
